A Letter From Our President

A Letter from Our President

In 2017, Arthur Pierce accomplished a solid agenda. I am thankful to have had the privilege to sit alongside of Arthur where it was clear he is a visionary leader that is passionate, possesses strength of will, and the necessary knowledge to achieve the needed continuity of long term goals as well as providing sufficient and encouraging actions to turn said goals into reality.

To continue this growth in 2018, my goals are to follow suit in making the TVBA the best local chapter in the valley and surrounding counties where all builders face the same regulatory burden. I plan to launch a renewed effort to get all members to know each other as people, not just entities or targets for business. I have learned that the building industry, the Federation of NAHB, HBAV, and TVBA, and all other similar organizations are founded on the strength of its people, not just the policies or its many benefits. With the TVBA growing to over 200 members and the Federation being over 140,000 strong, collectively we have the numbers to move mountains. That is exactly what we will do for you.

We look to continue most of our traditional functions while adding more community and educational offerings. At the same time, we will raise recognition as to what the TVBA does for our industry and why our members are so important.

Our members continue to engage in numerous community services including our TVBA Scholarship Fund, Community Events (from which proceeds will go to Our Health), Blitz Builds, and many more educational opportunities.

I am grateful to be a part of such a great organization and proud to say, the TVBA is moving forward with great leadership, a strong board, and active committees. We are building trade academy educational opportunities, engaging in the legislative process locally and statewide, giving back to our community as we grow membership and retention, and forging a path to ease the drain that our builders face today.

Feel free to join us on the success cruise. We have room for you.
